Halloween Stamp Camp Projects

I sent out an e-mail about my upcoming stamp camp for Halloween and a few of you couldn't open the e-mail. So below is a picture of the projects we will be completing.

The triangle box opens up so you can put a treat in it. You can also put a treat in the envelope and the other project is a cupcake topper. Don't forget that the class is on September 5th, I believe that is the first Saturday of September. The cost is $10, so if you are attending please have your fee to me by September 27th. Here is another layout that I made for my 4th Annual Scrapbook Event. I created my own template for the tree trunk and used the scalloped circle punch for the leaves. The alphabet set is retired unfortunately, but I used it anyway because I pretty much used up all of my non-retired letter stamps on other pages and I hate repeating myself. If I could have, I would have made the red circles look like apples but I thought it would have just taken to much time! I liked the way it turned out. Let me know what you think! Card Tin Organizer

Here is my card organizer. Sorry for the retired DSP, but I have a lot of it and wanted to use it! I made this for a friend's birthday. A few weeks ago I also made one for customers who placed $75 or more in orders. I forgot to take photos! A good reason to make another don't you think? Plus I was in a card making frenzy after convention! Here is a shot to show what the dividers look like. All I did was color the words with markers and them punch them out with the oval punch. Here is a closer shot of the tag. I love it! I used the crop o' dial to punch holes on each side of the tin. I ran ribbon through and tied knots at the end for the handle. Yes...I love the fact that it can be carried anywhere! So let me know what you think. Is it genius or what? Well okay, maybe not a masterpiece per se but I love it :)

One Happy Family

Here is a double page layout that I created for my 4th Annual Scrapbook Event. I do one big scrapbook event a year. Everyone that attends, completes 10 double page layouts over the course of two days. I used the Friends 24-7 stamp set. I also used a sentiment from a book that is full of titles and sentiments used for scrapbooks. I thought it went well with the page and printed the sentiment out on my printer. I did have to use the Stamp a Majig for the stamped page on the right. It took some time, but it was well worth it. I wanted to used colors that matched the cardstock but at the same time, I wanted to use scraps too! This is how it turned out. I also used the Lovely Letters stamp set for the title. The Day Pop Music Died

I have been wanting to start a scrapbook apart from my family scrapbook, that concentrates on the things we witness, day to day, in the news. Mainly about things that really are meaningful to a lot of people, but at the same time I've wanted to write my own perspective on such events. I was never more prompted to write about a news item until last week. You know, it is so easy to forget that none of us are promised tomorrow. We make all these plans thinking that we have all the time in the world but really none of us knows when we will leave this earth. I was reminded of that in a sermon given by the minister of my church, Danny Saltz, a couple of weeks ago. So with that said, please read my journaling that is in this scrapbook page (it is a little long). Here it is:

On June 25, 2009, I was at work listening to the radio, specifically KDES 104.7, when the D.J. came on and said that Michael Jackson had been hospitalized. I thought to myself, “Thank God he’s not dead.” Around 3:30 that day I heard from my boss that they were starting to announce on television that Michael Jackson had died of cardiac arrest. My heart dropped and I immediately felt this sense of loss. Seriously, I have never felt this way about any celebrity! I mean I was so saddened when Princess Diana died. But this was something else. I couldn’t understand it. I got in my car and drove home from work. By this time the radio stations were starting to play his music sporadically. In that moment when I heard I’ll Be There, the tears came. I’ve mourned people close to me but like I said this was something else! I was feeling so much sadness and thinking this is utterly ridiculous, I don’t even know the man personally! It took some time for me to realize maybe I never talked to this great music icon but I did know him. Here are the details!

· I remember sitting in front of the T.V. watching the Jackson 5 cartoons; I was entertained by that cartoon as a kid.

· My Mom used to play the Off The Wall Album day and night. Well, maybe it wasn’t that much, but I remember hearing all of the songs from that album. I also remember thinking as a kid; I really like a lot of this music!

· I remember hearing Billie Jean on the radio and absolutely loved that song. I also remember sitting in front of the T.V watching the 25th Anniversary Special for Motown. I was enthralled by Michael’s dancing! You could feel the awe from the audience coming straight through the T.V. as he did his moon walk! It was special!

· When I heard Thriller for the first time, I didn’t really think the song was that special. The video changed all of that! Growing up in a time where MTV was all about music videos was not a big deal to me until the Thriller video came out. As a pre-teen I couldn’t get enough of seeing it. If you would have asked me then, they didn’t play it enough!

· Lastly as a part of my early 20’s I went out to nightclubs a lot. I remember all the fun I had dancing to Remember The Time.

So maybe I didn’t know Michael Jackson personally, but I did know his music. I could go on and on about it but I don’t have enough room. Yes, there will always be scandal attached to his name and people will always think he is weird or a freak, ultimately though, he was a musical genius and that is the way I will remember him!

Well that is my post for today. I hadn't seen any others out there of the blogs I follow about any historical type of events and so this is my first but not my last. Yes, for some, death is a depressing subject, yet for others it is a celebration of life! For me Michael Jackson's music will always be associated with some good memories. Magic Kingdom

I've never been to big a fan of Disneyland. I know...the horror! So scrapbooking Jasmine's Disneyland photos wasn't an easy task for me. This is still probably my lease favorite layout. I guess I'll have to live with it because it's done deal :) After this I only have one more layout to post and that one will take a little while because I forgot to take a picture of it, the second time around! The letters are not chipboard, they are just from letter stax by Crayola. At least the photo quality isn't as bad as some of the other layouts I've been posting! Oh yes...I d have one single page layout that I will be posting soon (non Jasmine).

Public Enemies

I just came home from the movie theater. We went to go see Public Enemies. I know...I'm not a movie critic but I have to comment when I've seen some really fine acting! I have never really been a Johnny Depp fan, but I gotta tell you he is one talented actor! This movie isn't one you will take the kiddies too. I also appreciate the fact that there was no nudity. Seriously though, Johnny Depp gave an awesome performance! I enjoyed the movie! There is a lot of gun battles in this one and the arrogance of John Dillinger, if this is really based on truth, just took my breath away! There were some parts of the movie that made me just snicker...yes I said snicker! So...if your in the mood to just see some good acting, go check it out :)

San Diego

Here is a two page layout of Jasmine's trip to San Diego. If you look closely at the picture of the whales you'll see a splash zone sticker. I bought some Sea World stickers and wanted to use them so I placed one sticker on the photo and then the water drops near the title. I had a lot more stickers left but the whole trip was not just of Sea World so I had to restrain myself :)

I like the chipboard letters, you can't tell from the photo but the letters have some kind of industrial type of lines on them, maybe I should call them graphic lines...I don't know but they are cool! I did take a photo of the left and right side but they didn't come out to well, so this is the best I could do!

We Gather Together

Jasmine had several pictures of family gatherings. So this is a combination of those pictures on one layout. Again, sorry for the quality of the photos. I was in a rush to take these as I wasn't home doing it, I was at Jasmine's and I wanted to get in and get out. I normally take some time to make sure I have a decent picture and in this case I didn't :( I really like these letters from Stampin' Up. They are the Jumbo Outline Alphabet. The photo below is of the left side of the layout.

Wild Child & Zoo Combined Scrapbook Page

I love these chipboard letters. This photo doesn't give you a great idea what they look like but you will see the detail in one of the photo's below. So this layout is a combination of Vijay getting his big boy bed and a trip to the living desert. I wanted to use Big Boy Bed for the title but when you buy chipboard letters you have to be mindful of what letters you are using. You only get so many of each letter. In this case 3 B's would have been to much! So Wild Child is really my substitute title. The right side is a trip to the Living Desert and I just love these photos!

Here is another layout. I used this title because I had different photos of Vijay doing different things and this seemed to fit. Once again, these are chipboard letters. I did take a photo of the layout together but the quality wasn't so good! This is the left side of the layout.

New Year's Scrapbook Page

Okay I managed to get some pictures of the rest of Jasmine's layouts. Sorry for the quality of the photos. Here is a layout that I made over 3 or 4 years ago. I originally made the layout for a stamp club and it has been sitting in a scrapbook...unused, for a long time. When Jasmine gave me some New Year's pictures, I knew then I would end up using this layout. Both stamp sets have retired, I don't remember the name of the letter alphabet set but the other set is Perfect Party and it was one of my favorite sets! I just thought I could use the set for other things besides birthday layouts :) It was versatile!

Here is the left side of the layout! Yes...my lettering isn't exactly straight but what do you expect without using a Stamp a majig! :)

Another Card

Okay, here is another card. I think I'm going to call Jasmine tonight and see if I can go by and take pictures of the rest of the pages I put together for her...tonight! So maybe I will have a photo of a scrapbook page up tomorrow. As for now, here is a card I made. By the way, remember the older post about the altered coffee can? Well I altered another coffee can and stuffed it with 20 cards for my craft booth. This is one of the cards that was in the coffee can. The card I posted the other day (Friends 24 -7) was also in the coffee can. All product is from Stampin Up.

Card Gift Set

This orange plastic case came with some bath items at one point. Anyway, the bath items were all used and I still had this little case so I decided to make some cards for it and then added a little paper with stamps for the outside as an embellishment. The case actually zippers up so it really is a good place for storing cards.

The patterned paper is from Stampin' Up so is the stamp set. I forgot to take photos of the cards individiually, but you can see them partially through the case. Thanks for looking!

A Card

If you remember, a while back I decorated a coffee can for my friend Mj and made a set of cards to go into the can. Well I recently altered another coffee can and made a set of cards to into the can. I did end up selling it at my table. Here is one of the cards that was in the can. I love these color combinations too! I've really gotten some mileage out of this set because I love it so :) The sentiment, Friends 24-7 is from the stamp set with the same name. Thanks for taking a look!

Set of Cards In A Post It Note Holder

I'm so bummed! I was getting ready to post another "Jasmine" layout and something must have happened with my camera because when I went to download the pictures they were gone. Unfortunately, I already gave Jasmine her layouts so I don't have them to re-photograph. I was so hoping to post my New Year's layout today. Hopefully I can get with her another time and go by her house to take pictures of the layouts. Anyhow, for some strange and mysterious reason, my younger son, Joe, brought home this empty post it note holder. I asked him if he was planning on using it and he said, "No you can have it." Needless to say, it sat around for about a month. I knew I wanted to make some note cards for it and this is what I came up with.

There is a price tag on it because I was making all sorts of projects for a booth I had for a women's day event that my church put on. I mainly used patterned paper for the cards and stamped the sentiment on each card. I have a lot of projects I took photos of that were displayed on my table so for the next few days you may see those until I can take pictures again of Jasmine's scrapbook pages. Thanks for looking!

The Proposal

Okay so this is not a scrapbook layout but a movie review. I keep forgetting to tell you all that I went to a sneak preview of this movie, The Proposal, with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds. It was the best romantic comedy I've seen in a while! It was sooooo funny! We laughed through the whole movie! I think it releases this weekend so if you haven't seen it you have to go check it out! Believe me it is worth it! You will laugh til the end :)

California Adventure Scrapbook Page

I'm thinking that in the next 9 days you'll probably have seen more pictures of Jasmine and her family than pictures of my own family. Sadly, I have boys who refuse to look straight at a camera. Did I mention they are teenage boys? How I wish I could just capture those moments of them being themselves! I'll keep trying until the camera is pried from my cold, dead hands :) So... here is a page with some pictures of Jasmine and her family's trip to California Adventure. This was a really easy layout. It came together pretty quickly and this was actually the first one I finished. I haven't been posting these pages in the order that they were completed. Anyway... I love the little dimensional Disney characters! I used chocolate chip cardstock because that seemed to be a dominant color in the photos. The alphabet letters are by crayola. They are mounted on the page with foam tape.

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Here is another page combining different things in Vijay's life :) The letters are not chipboard but they are stickers. They came in black and white and I mounted the black sticks onto white cardstock so that they would standout against the black cardstock I used for this layout. I wish I had more arrows when I was making this page...but I used what little I had. The middle of the right side of the layout is blank. I left it this way so that Jasmine can journal about the different pictures. Just in case you are wondering, I always used mounting tape to mount the letters onto the page.

Here is the left side of the layout. I do have to tell you that I'm a dork! I took pictures of these layouts and thought to myself, "I wish I could eliminate some of the background around the photos of these layouts...duh! It only occurred to me today that I could crop the photos! Hello!

Here is the right side of the layout. Leave a comment...I would love to hear what you think. And by the way I really have simple style of scrapbooking. The tons of patterned paper that some people use on a layout is just not my style and I wouldn't have a clue where to start with all those patterns. I'm a firm believe that less is more :) I like the pictures and journaling to speak for itself! Until tomorrow :)

Sorry everyone. Yesterday I was exhausted. I didn't get to much sleep the night before and I forgot to post. Here is the next page for Vijay/Jasmine's scrapbook. I ran twine (I can't think of another name for it) through out the page. The school 3D elements are by Crayola and can be found at Target. Once again I used some chipboard lettering, from Joann's. I had everything laid out on this page and there was still something missing. My friend Paula had come over for a few hours to put pictures on pages that were completed and she suggested the punched stars. Thanks Paula. Yes the punches are from Stampin Up!

Firehouse Scrapbook Page and Other Days

Here's is another Jasmine layout. What I really should say is Vijay layout because all the pages are for Vijay's scrapbook. This is another combined page. Combined page meaning that I scrapbooked a field trip and several other events that occurred. Don't you just love those chipboard letters? I got them at Joann's and they went perfectly with the fire truck picture. I also used my label maker (a birthday present to myself) for the titles on the photos. I purchased the silver metallic tape for the label maker and voila! I thought this layout turned out exceptionally well :)

Jasmine's Scrapbook

This is somewhat of a story so this may be a long post. Sorry I haven't posted in a while but that is about to change! You see I think it was in April or May when I went to a Wednesday night service at my church. It was announced that there was going to be an auction to raise money for the kids to go to camp. So I go to the Wednesday service not really intending to bid on anything but more for support. They started the auction off with people willing to do housework once a week for 5 weeks and the like. I was amazed at the bidding that was going on! Anyway, we started having people auction off different things that they did, such as we had someone auction their cooking skills, he was willing to cook dinner for the whole family or cook for an event such as a party. Someone else built a custom water fountain in their home and was willing to build anyone who bid on this, a custom fountain. We had one guy auction off 25 hours of electrical labor and so on. I had no idea it was going to be like this so when we were right in the middle of this auction I asked Mj (the minister's wife) if I could auction off my scrapbooking skills :) She said she would try to fit me in! So eventually I get called up and tell everyone that I will design enough pages to fill an album for the top bidder. Well then the bidding frenzy was on :) I had two women bidding against each other when Danny (the minister) asks me if I will make two books and each person will pay the same price. Who was I to turn this down! So this page and the pages to follow are a culmination of what I have created for Jasmine who was one of the bidders. I will start on Dawn's book soon. Jasmine gave me her pictures and let me say she has tons of them! We discussed what she wanted and organized what I would be scrapbooking. This layout incorporates two events. The one on the left is Mother's day and the one on the right is Easter. At first I had a hard time trying to figure out how I would scrapbook two events onto one layout but I finally came up with this. That is why there are 2 titles to represent both days. Here is a close up of the left side of the layout. I have to say that Jasmine really has a great camera because her photos have turned out great. Sorry...I don't know what kind of camera she has. Here is a closer look at the right side of the layout. I do have to tell you that Jasmine provided the butterflies. There is a story behind those butterflies. I have the pictures and the chipboard letters all laid out and I was thinking what else can I use on this layout? I tried flowers and a number of other things but they didn't look right on the page. I mean I literally sat for 20 or 30 minutes trying to come up with something when I happened to look into one bag that I had...duh!!! That is when I found the butterflies Jasmine gave me! I had totally forgotten about them! This picture is not to clear but I drew dashed wavy lines for the butterflies. Enjoy and leave me a comment to let me know what you think. Rian's Scrapbook Pages

Hi Everybody, Here are some scrapbook pages I made of my niece, Rian. I initially made these pages to enter them into a class contest for Stampin Up, but I didn't win :( Oh well, better luck next time right? Anyway, I used 2 stamp sets for all three pages and 1 photo for all three pages. The stamp sets are Friend 24-7 and Lovely Letters. I also used my punches for layering the letters. You can use the same layouts and place different pictures instead of the same one like I did. This page to the left uses Basic Black, So Saffron, and Basic Gray. I think this is the one I like most. I generally don't use these colors together, especially the Pale Plum color. I mean I really don't use Pale Plum at all and I thought the combination turned out well. I also, rarely use Bordering Blue which is what I used here, along with Summer Sun and Pacific Point. I really love these stamp sets together. Drop me a comment and let me know what you think!

Mom's House Rocks Mini Book

Okay,

Here is another mini! I tried to make it into the shape of a house. What do you think? Does it look much like a house? Anyway, I was at my friend Leah's and we were talking about how much we love mini books! I told her I was going to go home last night and get started on a mini book shaped like a house and while I did start it last night, I didn't finish it until this morning. Of course I was trying to think of a good title for my mini and I had these little letter stamps; this is what I came up with. The reason the first letters are on green is because I messed up and stamped tocks instead of rocks! I didn't want to have to start over because I already had the cover made! That is the great thing about stamping, if you ever mess up you can fix it! Check out the rest of the book!

I used the oval punch to create the door and a brad for the door knob.

Here I decided to use some more patterned paper. I tried to make the kids look like boys since that is what I have.

KWerner Color Challenge #43

Hi Everyone,

Originally I wasn't going to participate in this weeks color challenge. I got together with a friend from church on Thursay and we came up with a design for a bridal shower invite. When we had first had a conversation, we were going to make a sample of the bridal show card and then used the rest of our time to make cards for our personnal use. Unfortunately the shower card took longer than I had anticipated and we never got around to making cards for us! I was feeling bad about that so I took some supplies to work last night (yes, that is the graveyard shift on the weekends) I have to do something to keep me awake :) I decorated this can and there is a story that goes with that too! The can is actually a coffee can! We get these at work all the time and everyone was just throwing them away. Well one day I decided that the next can that is thrown out I would just take it home instead and see if I could do something wtih it! Well I guess someone else had the same idea and they beat me to the can! I was a little miffed over this! Not to worry though...the next can was saved for me and this is what I came up with for Mj. It just so happens that the colors are the same color combination that Kristina posted for her challenge. This was so not planned. I just worked with what I had and didn't realize until later that I could post this pic for the challenge! Anyhow... I decorated the can and then made a bunch of cards to go inside and also provided her with envelopes! I love this Cheap Talk set from Stampin Up! I made several different types of cards but here are just a few.

This card, I suppose can probably fit the just because category. The sentiment reads, you've got a friend in me.

I also made several Happy Birthday cards. You can never have to many of those!

Set of Cards with a Clear Altered Box

Hi All,

I have been trying to post this project since last week! For some reason I was having trouble posting the photos in the order that I wanted them to be in. I finally gave up and just decided to post however it would take the format! So...here is a set of cards that I made for my Secret Sister. They were fairly simple to make. I used maybe half a sheet of patterned paper and ribbon of course! I stamped a different sentiment on each card. As you'll notice on the card to the left, it is Happy Birthday

This next card says Hugs and Kisses, I'm not sure if you can see the sentiment very clearly. This card would make a great card for any occasion. The sentiment is pretty basic. I usually don't stamp anything on the inside of my cards because I prefer to right out my thoughts to whomever I'm giving a card too. Of course you can never have to many thank you cards. I never seem to have enough of them! Now here is the box! I went out and bought a die for my die cutting machine. It came in this box. I had originally thrown it out in my little garbage can located at my craft table. It took a couple of days, but I kept wondering if I could do something with it. I finally decided to give it a try and rescued the box from the garbage! This is what I ended up with! The cards match and I thought it turned out well! Valentine Mail Boxes

Hi Everyone, This is a belated post. I decorated these mailboxes for Valentine's day for my co-workers. I had these mail boxes sitting in a plastic bin for over a year. Sometimes it just works out like that. I have some other things that have been sitting in my bin for a little longer than that, until I decide to use them. I can't wait until Christmas! I have some stuff that is just waiting to be given at Christmas time! Sick, I know! Do you think it's curable? The first photo is of the 4 mail boxes I decorated. I still have 2 left; maybe next year? the second photo is a side view of the mail box. I used my heart to heart punch for the cut out hearts and attached them with foam tape. The paper is the Candy Cane Lane paper by the way. I used the Love Ya Bunches stamp set to decorate the front of the box, which you'll see in the third picture below. I stuffed the inside with candy. All in all, I think they turned out well. What do you think?

Here is another color challenge card created for Kristina's blog. I love the color choices and I happen to love this set too! I believe the set is called Trendy Trees (from SU). The sentiment comes in the set. I used the Polka Dot background stamp. I thought it worked well with the trees. Of course I'm always up for making something that is easy to put together! Decorated Jar - Treat Holder

I happened to be snooping around some dollar bins and found these jars. I snatched up every single one of them and this is the first one I decorated. I thought it would be great to stuff with some candy or any other treat that you can think of! I used my oval punches for the sentiment because, although you can't see it very clearly, on the front of the jar there is an almost flattened oval shape where I placed the oval punches. I think it worked perfectly. On the lid of the jar, I used the scallop punch along with one circle punch. When I actually use the jar, depending on the occasion, I'll layer a smaller circle on top, stamped with a sentiment, whether it be, Happy Birthday, Thank You or Just Because! I did place the "For You" sentiment on both sides of the jar. Let me know what you think and leave a comment!

I love making Valenine's Day cards! Honestly, this card has some of my favorite colors to work with. I usually don't drag out the embossing powder because when I first started stamping, that was pretty much all I used. In fact I used it so much I got sick of it. But once in a while I am tempted to use it. The hearts are embossed with silver powder. I really love this set too! Kristina really chooses some great color combinations! Let me know what you think! Okay, time for another color challenge from Kristina Werner. Don't you just love these colors? I love this Neighborhood wheel too! Not really a whole lot to share about this card. I did use the scallop edge punch, and both oval punches. I also used stampin up markers to color the houses. This card is great to give to a new neighbor. Shaped Flower Mini Book

Okay, remember I told you I was inspired? Well this is what it led too. I have had a die cutter for years. I drag it out once and a while when I feel the need to or when I feel it is being neglected. In this case however, it was because I was inspired. I don't own the Big Shot yet, but I do own one of the old Sizzix die cutters. I didn't have any chipboard handy, so I used left over coasters; they worked perfectly! The paper I used to cover the flowers is the Candy Cane Lane paper. This little book was really easy to put together! I cut the coasters with the die cutter

and I cut the patterned paper with the die cutter as well. I used the circle punch for the flower middle and I made sure that I mounted it on foam tape (you can also use dimensionals). The reason I did this was because when you cut the flower, it has a hole in the middle. I wanted it covered. I used my crop a dial to punch a hole through the flowers to insert the ring. So, going with my theme of the last few posts, use what you have! I used my die cutter, which had been collecting dust, and my left over coasters! The die actually matches one that is in the Stampin Up catalog, but I don't know the name of it.

Now, on to finishing one more mini book! I've been talking about this for a while, I just need to take a few more pictures! I also plan to cover some valentine mail boxes and decorate them. Life is so much easier with just one post!

Circles Anyone?

Call me crazy...literally! I signed up for a secret sister swap and the poor thing is still waiting for me to send her stuff. Okay, so I'm a little busy! Not to worry though. I created this little circle mini just for her! I bought this alphabet set a few years ago, it is from CTMH and this is the first time I've used it! You'll start to see a pattern developing here pretty quick. The buttons on the next photo came in an embellishment kit that I bought over a year ago. Do you see that chipboard arrow? I bought that particular chipboard family over two years ago. I'm not really a shopaholic. Maybe buy is the wrong word. The alphabet stamp I received by using my credit towards the catalog because I had a catalog party, so I didn't actually pay for it. The chipboard was bought with a gift certificate for a scrapbooking store, that I received for my birthday almost two years ago, so all I really bought was the embellishment kit and that was at 40% off. Honestly, I try to buy as little as possible. I do save all my scrap ribbon too! I take that back, the chipboard I received from another swap I did over a year ago, yes it was another secret sister swap! But there is some chipboard in this little mini book that I bought with my gift certificate. So like I said before, let's

use what we have. It does become challenging! I start to think, "But what if I run out?" Isn't that lame? When am I ever going to run out of things? I think that I probably have to much. Don't get me wrong, I am not discouraging you to buy things! I'm thinking...use what you have and then buy when you've run out of a lot of it :) So enough on the buying...are we done with buying sprees for a little while, now that you've had your lecture from Stephanie? (smile) I used browns, blues and greens for this mini because my Secret Sister has a preference for those colors. I'm thinking that I'm going to have a hard time parting with this, so I'm going to make one for

myself. I've got one more mini album to post, but it will have to wait. I want to post it when I've filled it with pictures. The hard part is trying to get my kids to want to take pictures, they detest it and hide from the camera when it is out. But will I let a small thing like teen stubborness get in my way? I think not...I've been using dirty tricks such as bribes :) to get them to pose for me! Yes, I'll resort to this when I am on a mission. I'm happy to say that my mission is almost accomplished! Valentine's Day Mini Book

I completed this book last week after I was so itching for my Candy Cane Lane paper to come. I wanted to kiss the floor the UPS lady walks on, when my paper finally arrived. For those of you who are aware, Stampin' Up has had back orders galore because of the holidays and the demand for the Love You Much Bundle. But, at last, it finally arrived. The first photo is the front cover. I didn't do much as far as stamping any sentiments throughout the book, because I may be giving this away and I wanted the person receiving this to embellish the book the way they wanted to. Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a symmetrical scrapper. I like everything clean and lined up precisely. I'm working on that though! I really love the whole shabby chic look but it is hard to create shabby chic without all the embellishing, so although this isn't quite shabby chic for me, it is my attempt at it. What do you think? I think I need some improvement. I'm also trying to improve my picture taking. Would you believe that I just found the setting on my camera that allows me to take pictures in direct light from my lamp. Am I making sense? I do most of my projects throughout the day and by the time I'm done, it is dark already and I'm taking pictures by the lamp on my table. My pictures haven't been coming out all that great s0 I started fooling around with my camera today! I've had it for over a year and didn't know that I could switch the setting to indicate artificial light! Duh!! Anyway...I hope you see an improvement, it's noticeable to me! Valentine's Day Mini Book Part 2

Here are the rest of the pictures. I couldn't fit them all onto one post. If anyone was ever in any doubt as to what my favorite embellishment is, well by look at this first photo, you've probably guessed it is ribbon. I love...love...love ribbon. It is relatively inexpensive and goes a long way. If you look closely, you'll see a pink striped ribbon, let me tell you, I have had this ribbon for ages, okay maybe only a year but I couldn't stand looking at it anymore, which is why I had to use it! Very little stamping done on any of these pages but I think I truly love the Candy Cane Lane paper, by Stampin' Up. I also have lots of these rings that I bought a while back and got tired of those sitting around all the time, so I took advantage of them to hold my mini book together. Are you spotting a trend here? I am really trying to use what I have on hand. I know everyone is probably feeling the money crunch right now, I for one am watching my pennies! So I have resolved to stop hording supplies and just use them. You know that Nike catch phrase "Just Do It?" Well mine has become..."Just Use It!" I challenge all of you to use your supplies and if your getting tired of all the projects that are piling up because you are using what you have, here is another tip for you, give them away! The persons receiving your gifts will be absolutely thrilled. I guarantee it!

Amazingly my son Joe, let me take a silly picture of him. I came home from work and I was sitting at my computer when he walked in the door looking like this. He claimed that he and his friends were going to start a "Geek Squad!" I was thinking okay...uh...I guess if that's what you want to do...fine with me! I asked him if I could take a picture and of course he posed making these silly faces :) I was just happy to be taking pictures of him, if you have kids who are teens, the occasions when they want to pose for you become fewer and far between. At least it has been that way for me! Anyway, I thought this picture was perfect to use for Kristina's color challenge. The cherries on the background are from the Just Jawing (Stampin' Up) set and so is the You Rock stamp! I wanted a framed border. I love this color combination but I don't know if I succeeded in getting the layout the way I wanted it. I am one of those people that puts a page together and once it's done...it's done...I don't play with it anymore! I know the 11 x 8 1/2 layout is not very popular but I always wanted to try it out. So I am filling a scrapbook with this size and at the same time my stamp club is completing one too! Let me know what you think!

Hi All, Okay here is my stamp club layout for tomorrow. I have another as well but it is not exactly finished. I haven't been able to decide how I want the photo mats laid out...so stay tuned for that one. For this layout I used the Love You Much stamp set. I hope you can see that I used the Love You Much stamp and stamped it with white craft ink. I thought that this would be a good layout in preparation for Valentine's Day. I also thought about adding photo mats but decided that if I just laid photos on, it would look okay. All supplies are Stampin' Up except the ribbon. I had the ribbon left over from my Christmas stash and it matched the layout so why not use it? Hope you like it! Thanks for looking!

KWerner Color Challenge #38

Bear with me here. I added 3 photos to this entry for one color challenge! Yikes! Well, it was worth it! I love these color combinations and I had been wanting to make something that would hold 3x3 cards to give as a gift. If you saw one of my earlier entries, you know that I made tons of 3x3 notecards a few weeks ago to use up scraps. Well here is what I came up with. I used the Priceless set from Stampin Up and then added brads to the flowers. The sentiments are all from the same set (also from Stampin Up), but I can't remember the name of the set right now! I made 2 of each notecard and included envelopes

behind them. I added ribbon to tie the card keeper together and voila! I did do as Kristina suggested in her FAQ's and took 2 shots outside, of my project. It seems like my pictures were coming out to dark. Hopefully this is an improvement. Thanks for looking and let me know what you think by leaving a comment! Hi All, I'm trying to stretch my wings here and challenge myself to create outside my box. The sketch below was posted on the Taylored Expressions Blog (http://tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/). I was thinking since the Super Bowl is right around the corner, that I wanted to do something a little masculine looking. Don't get me wrong...I love ribbon and flowers as much as the next person, but while I was surfing blog land I kept seeing so much flowers and ribbon that it put me in the mood to create something else altogether. This is what I came up with. If your into throwing Super Bowl parties, I think this would make a great invite! I chose the colors because my youngest son's team is playing today...Go Steelers! I wish I could tell you this was all my own little idea...but it wasn't. I got this idea from Lauren Meader's blog (http://laurenm.blogs.splitcoaststampers.com/). She did her card organizer differently than I did, but she had a template and I was just working off the photos she posted. I took photos of the front and a side view photo. If I had read through her blog a little more, the project may have been easier than I anticipated but I think I made it more difficult on myself. Lesson learned...read the whole blog post! I happen to love her blog and when I saw this, I knew I had to make one for myself! At first I thought I would give it as a gift to someone, but once it was done, I thought there is no way you will pry this from my cold dead hands! Anyway, the organizer itself was a project so when I was finally finished I wanted to make the cards as easy as possible. 3 x 3 Notecards From Scraps

I have been a busy little bee. In the interest of trying to clean my craft space, I cut a lot of my scraps down to make 3x3 notecards. I aimed for making 100 of them...believe me I had plenty of scraps...but I got as far as 40. I made thank you, birthday, Valentine's day, and thinking of you notecards. Unfortunately I had so many scraps that I could probably spend the next year creating 3x3 notecards and I would still have some left over. In my quest to organize I had to throw some out. There were just too many. I also had an old ribbon keeper that I don't use anymore. It has just been sitting around my space. I didn't know what else to do with it and I didn't want to throw it out. Well now that I have so many 3x3 notecards I was looking for a place to store them and voila! I laid my eyes on the ribbon keeper. Guess what...the notecards fit perfectly! In fact I have a little room for more so I'm going to get started on some more later on. Last night while I was at work I had the opportunity to make a mini book out of coasters. I will try to get it posted later on today! Thanks for taking a look.

Crocheted Scarf - Another New Year's Resolution

While we are on the subject of New Year's resolutions, I'm sharing another. That is to keep blogging more often. By the time the year is over you'll hopefully have been inspired by my creations or will have grown totally sick of me (smile). Anyway, I'm sharing this a photo of this scarf that I made for a friend who shall remain nameless until it is give to her. It was a really easy project to make and only took one skein of yarn. I even had some left over yarn and improvise by using it on some cards. These colors are bright but I do love them. I'm hoping my friend will love it!

Craft Space

Okay, so those of you who know me, know that my craft space is usually a disaster area. I have been working diligently to get it organized. Here are some before and after pictures. The one up top is after and the one below is before. I have to say that one of my New Year's resolutions is to really keep this space neat and tidy. Wait...I can already hear the sarcastic voices saying...good luck with that! Well I'll have you know that I did work on some cards and surprisingly my space is still looking good. Thank God! I mean it is not a big space but what I have is enough to work with. I'm going to be sharing some things that I have been up to while taking some time off work during this holiday season. Kristina's Color Challenge...Finally!!

Well I have been wanting to participate in Kristina's color challenge since she started them. If you haven't been to her blog, she posts a color challenge every week. You can check out her blog here http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/. Finally, I had some time to produce something that appealed to me and was really quick and easy! I didn't want to create a card. It had to be either a scrapbook page or some 3-D type item. This is what I came up with. The patterned paper incorporates almost all the colors in the challenge except for old olive. I had to add some old olive ribbon but it just looked to out there by itself so I added the pretty in pink ribbon with it. For those who relish the time they have to stamp, there is no stamping involved in this project but I'm sure if you use this as inspiration you can incorporate some stamping somewhere (smile). Here is one more project I wanted to post. I've also had some white paper bags floating around my craft table and didn't know what to do with them. I know Christmas is coming and I thought it would be really cute to make some type of decorated bag that I could put some treats in. The holly is made with the oval punch (I got this I idea from attending my friend, Tiffany's, stamp a stack). She used the oval punch to make flower petals for a card (I think she may have gotten the idea from Alicia). Anyway, I just expanded on the idea and used the small circle punch for the berries. I used the scalloped edge punch for the top of the bag. Let me know what you think. :)

I don't know where I saw it, I think it was on someone's blog. She used a red bag and added a black strip for the belt and another color for the buckle. I thought I could improve on the same look and I had a bunch of white bags that have just been sitting in one of my craft drawers! So here is my take on the bag. I actually made the same type of card using the filagree brads but later made a mistake in thinking I had enough of them. Not!! I have been going through computer withdrawals, printer withdrawals and everything else you could imagine that involves any electronic device. My computer just got fixed and my printer decided it liked the idea of a fixed computer so here I am blogging today and posting a lot of projects that I've made. The first photos will be of cards that I made my stamp a stack of Christmas Cards class, which was just a couple of weeks ago. This card was made with the Shellabrate the Season set. I love the tree made out of shells, especially because I live in California. I don't know if you can tell, but I have snowflakes embossed on the background. I used markers to color in the image. Hi Everyone,

I realize it has been a long time since I have posted to my blog. Know this...I have been working feverishly, stamping my little heart out to put projects on my blog. There is more to come soon, but for now, I wanted to share the wreath that I made for Christmas. I'm also going to offer it as a class for my stampers. As soon as I saw the felt flurries I knew immediately that I wanted to do this project. The ribbon is also from the mini catalog too! I did use spray on glitter but it isn't very noticeable in the photo. This project is really easy to do, you just need a hot glue gun, felt flurries, ribbon, and 5mm pearls (which I got at Michaels). The photo at the top is one of the whole wreath and the one at the bottom is a close up. Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Hi Everyone,

It has taken me a while to post, sorry about that. Most of you know that I had a big scrapbooking event last weekend. It is an annual event that I hold once year. We did 10 12x12 double page layouts. I think I'm scrapped out for a while! Just kidding, not really!! I won't be posting all the layouts. I gave you a sneak peak last time and this is the only other one I will be posting because it seemed to be the favorite. All supplies are Stampin Up. I used chocolate chip, so saffron, old olive, pumpkin pie and ruby red card stock. If you haven't tried stamping with white craft ink on chocolate chip cardstock you must give it a try! I love the look! The photo is not the best quality, sorry about that, but once I was done, I wanted to do several layouts in chocolate chip! Thankfully I held back, I think my girls who attended probably appreciate not doing all chocolate chip layouts too! Anyway, enjoy!

Sneak Peak

Finally! I'm back to blogging! Woohoo! This last school term just about killed me! Anyway I wanted to offer you a sneak peak at one of the layouts for my upcoming Third Annual Scrapbook Event. I sat at my craft table and went for it. I really love how the puzzle pieces turned out. Yep...I made them myself from tempting turquoise card stock! I was quite pleased. If you look at the way I positioned the Garden Green pieces, I place them this way so that X would be on this page and and O would be on the other page. I was going to add some ribbon (you know me, the ribbon queen!) but I decided against it. I think the layout turned out pretty well considering I had a picture in my head and wasn't sure if it would turn out the same.

Don't you just hate that? You come up with what you think is this brilliant idea and then when you put it all together it looks terrible! But seriously...let me know what you think!

Sorry I haven't been in touch lately! I have been sooooooo busy!!! Graduation was on the 18th and I was in the middle of 4 classes. Let me tell you, taking 4 eight week classes all at once is nothing to laugh at. It took every part of energy I could muster, not to mention trying to keep up with my Stampin Up business and working 2 jobs. This is the last week! Thank goodness!! Blayne's Mini Book

Just a quick note. I wanted to share this book i made for Blayne. It took one sitting to complete and it is the first time I've actually put something together just for him. Stamp Club Project

This project is somewhat similar to the one that is in the SU catalog. If you take a look on page 93, and compare my vase of flowers you'll notice some changes. They also used different colors. Anyway, this is the project we made tonight for stamp club. I have had these girls in my stamp club for six months. Tonight was their last meeting and I wanted to do something special for them and guess what? They all decided to continue on with the club for another six months. Thanks Paula, Heather, Emily, Erinne, Jasmine and Diane! I have one other stamp club and they meet in two weeks. They have been with me for about two years and I think that it is about time that I made something really special for them as well. I appreciate you girls; Tina, Diana, Sue, Paula, Cindy and Sandy. Tina, Diana, and Paula have been with me from the very beginning! I consider each and every one of you friends! This project uses the Ginormous stamp set. I had only looked at the project a couple of times and it had been a while since I had paid any attention to it. When I started on this project, I went to Michael's to see if I could find glass vases I liked; so it was quite a coincidence when I brought these vases home and turned to the project in the catalog and discovered they were the same vase! I guess I may have known unconsciously! This is a very easy project to make, so if you have time, try it! I'm going to take mine to work and put it on my desk, they also make great Mother's day gifts!

Another Clothespin

I think these are so cute! I joined a secret sister swap for Easter and I'm about to send this clothespin out to my secret sister! They are really so great for posting a photo for all to see! The ha ha ha is chipboard. The patterned paper is something I picked up from Michael's. If you haven't signed up for my clip art class, you may want to consider trying it out! One More Card

I was on an easy streak last week. This is another card that my stamp club made. By the way, the reason I was on easy streak was not because I wanted to get rid of the girls so quickly, well that was part of it...I was trying to finish catching up on some desperately needed sleep, not to mention assignments for school. Yes I used another Sale-A-Bration set, Birthday Whimsy. The dots are from the Polka Dot Background stamp and the patterned paper is from Stampin Up's Cutie Pie paper. Enjoy!

Another Stamp Camp Project

This is the second project I'll be offering for my stamp camp. It is an altered binder clip....yes it will hold a photo. Granted the clip doesn't match the photo, but I had to use something and this was the only photo I had on hand. This idea comes from a fellow demonstrator...thanks Cheryl. I had seen the idea before, but I never really cared for it when I saw photos. I then had the opportunity to make one! It was love at first sight from that point! Very cute project! Stay tuned!

Jumbo Clothespin

Finally!!!! Sorry it took so long for me to post again. I made this jumbo clothespin and when I went to take a picture, my batteries had died. I just bought some new ones today! Just a little tip; if you have a digital camera and go through batteries like crazy (which is what I was going through) you should try the Lithium batteries by Energizer. They work like a dream. They last 7 times longer than normal batteries, they really are amazing! Now, about this project, I painted the clothespin with blush color paint. I then used a coat of Mod Podge to adhere the patterned paper and then put on another coat to give it a nice sheen. I dragged out my die cut machine and cut the letters from cork and did the same for the card stock to cover the letters. I used Crystal Effects (Stampin Up) to adhere the letters. Once everything was dry I tied the ribbon and voila...an altered clothespin. Joe is my son's name, I've been using it to display his picture! Another tip, if you decide to take on a project like this, it is more convenient to take the clothespin apart before you start. For those of you who don't have a clue, I'll be offering a class soon, to make this project. On another note, I just finished reading a really good book a few days ago. If you have ever seen the movie, The Count of Monte Cristo and loved it, well then you'll love this book! It is called Exact Revenge by Tim Green. It is a couple of years old (2005), but I needed something to read and came across this book. It was a great read. If you haven't seen the movie, The Count of Monte Cristo, you should watch that too! Now that I have enough batteries to last me a while, I'll continue to post more soon! As my sons would say...Peace!

A Gift for Diane

This is a gift for my friend Diane. She is in my bible talk group and just a few weeks ago, her son was in a really bad car accident. All of the women in my bible talk tried to think of something we could do to encourage her. Everyone wrote an encouraging scripture on a note card or sheet of paper, even post its and this is what I came up with. It is a block that I made into a collage of all the scriptures, I added some ribbon (if you know me, you know I have to add ribbon to everything I do!) and some rub ons to make it complete. The block was purchased at Michaels. It is very light weight in case you are wondering. I used Mod Podge to adhere the patterned paper and all the notes of scripture. I also rubbed along the edges of most of the pieces of paper with a stamp pad. Initially, I was going to decorate a box with patterned paper as well as paint and then just store everything inside but I didn't like the way it turned out! So then I tried this idea and since a few of my co-workers were exclaiming over how much they liked it, I thought it might be a hit with Diane. It can act as a decorative piece in her house (so if I go over, I hope it isn't hidden somewhere! hint, hint :)), and as a reminder that she has friends that are there for her. On top of the block I put the title "Your rainbow on a rainy day" because that is what we are as friends! I was racking my brain trying to come up with something for the title. It wasn't until I started reading all the scriptures that I came up with one, thank you God for the inspiration! Anyway I hope you enjoy taking a peak and let me know what you think! Also stay tuned...I'm working on my next project and I think it is going to be a real winner, at least I'm hoping it will be! I also have to clean my craft space...ugh!!

Are You Ready for Some Football Layout

Hi all! Here is a layout I started working on today. It is for my next stamp club meeting. I have to make two different ones considering everyone is not interested in football. I used the letter L from the Big Deal Alphabet to make the whole football field. It wasn't easy and it probably would have come out straighter if I had used a stamp a majig but I didn't have the patience this time for that. I did use the big deal alphabet for the letters. For the numbers on the field I used Brushstroke Numbers (they are retired) but I had to resort to what I had on hand. I don't usually buy number sets, if your so inclined to C.A.S.E. my layout, you may have a more current set of numbers that will work well with this layout. The Sporting stamp set and Just Football set are from the current catalog. Let me know what you think!

My Swaps

This card was made for a swap I'm participating in. I used the embrace life stamp set from Stampin Up. The cardstock is Rose Red, Really Rust and Pretty in Pink. I have a tendency in using the earth elements colors a lot. When I first started with Stampin Up I'd use a lot of there bold brights, but now I find I don't use those colors as much anymore! I hardly ever dared to use Rich Regals, but now I use those more than I do the Bold Brights. For those of you who don't have a clue about what I'm talking about, well Stampin Up had four color familes; Bold Brights, Earth Elements, Rich Regals and Soft Subtles. I'd have to say that Earth

Elements are my favorite! This next card was also made for a swap using the One of a Kind stamp set. I think this is my new favorite set! I did not cut all the little flowers by hand! I used the Boho Blossoms Punch that coordinates with the set. Again all the colors used are from the Earth Elements family. Even though I used the punch to cut out the flowers, this card took a while to make because all the flowers are placed on dimensionals! I had to make 5 of each card, not a lot for a swap but it was enough. Post a comment and let me know what you think!

Birthday Present

This little purse is called a dual pocket purse. I just love the idea and I decided to make one for a friend (Bev). Her birthday is today, I won't tell her age because I want to live to see another day. Anyway, the purse has two pockets that can fit 4x4 note cards. Can you believe all you need is one 12x12 sheet of patterned paper to make this purse? Break out that patterned paper! It also stands on it's own once you are done. All supplies are Stampin Up. could probably fit 8 cards comfortably. Or even if your limited on cardstock, you can make 4 cards I think anyone will ooh and aah over this gift. Give it a try!

Whole Lotta Layouts Going On...

Whew, it took a while to upload all these pictures. Incidentally, I thought I would have even more pictures to upload. Turns out I have all these layouts but a lot of them are using retired stamp sets. So I decided not to upload those. Anyway...I'm done with what I have. The layout to the left is a single page layout using the Priceless set. I made this for a stamp club meeting. I try to keep my style simple but I do love to cut out images and this just happened to be one of those occasions a form of torture...or so my stamp club girls say :). This next layout is one that my stamp club made in November in anticipation of Christmas. I used the Jumbo Outline Alphabet for the letters...yes... one more form of torture. Because my stamp club members say so. Anyway... they really don't mind, they just give me a hard time! The Christmas stamp set is Wondrous Gift. I love this set! Don't you? Once a year for the last two years I have held one big scrapbooking event. I mean this sucker is a lot of work! It is a stamp camp that I hold in July. It is an all day event and we have so much fun! This layout is from last year's scrap camp. If you can't read the lettering very well it says You Are Loved. Even though you can't see it very well, every mat on this layout is stamped with a background stamp or a wheel is used. Believe it or not, I had some help from a friend (thanks Susan) pre-cutting all the hearts for everyone that came. Otherwise we would have been there all night! This layout, Happy Campers, is also a product of my scrap camp. I try to include some that are easy enough to do and others are not for the faint of heart. I think that this year instead of holding my scrap camp in July, I may hold it one month earlier... it's something to think about anyway. My You Rock layout, although quite simple, is one of my favorites. I have two boys that love to play Guitar Hero, not to mention myself and I wanted to make something that looked a bit more masculine. I do lean toward frilly layouts, isn't that ironic considering I have no girls? The You Rock letters are embossed with white embossing powder. That is the only stamping done on the layout but I went for the really simple look. What do you think? I haven't shared this with my stamp club ladies, it is just a layout I made for myself. Gotta do that once in a while. Yep... you guessed it! The Boo layout was also another stamp club project. My theory is that you don't need to stamp much as long as you have ribbon! I love...love...love ribbon. I used the Year After Year set for the pumpkins. Now if only I could get my teenagers to a pumpkin patch to take some pictures! Not happening!

Alright, I know I'm a Stampin Up demo but even I fall victim to using non-Stampin Up items. This being done so with this card and the next three cards after this. Does anyone remember what a Sizzix die cut machine is? I had mine buried in a closet for the last two or three years. Since felt happens to be the new cool thing to use I wanted to incorporate it onto my cards and layouts. Hmmm.... How could I do this I asked myself? A few days ago I opened the hall closet and there in all it's glory was my die cut machine, sitting there as unused as the day I bought it, well maybe I did use it once or twice. I hadn't bought very many die cuts for it so my natural inclination was to run down to Michael's to see what I could find. Low and behold I found a die cut that cuts three different flowers that can be used seperately or layered on top of each other. So I went die cut crazy. I was in a frenzy when I got home and started using the machine like I had never used it before. I cut so many felt flowers that I had to put them in a separate container. After I had finished cutting up all my felt it was my natural inclination to use what I had of course so these are cards I came up with. The ribbon is also non-Stampin Up ribbon but I couldn't resist! I used the Celebrate Everything stamp set. So if you have a die cutter that has been collecting dust... by all means bring it into the light of day and use it! Let me know what you think by leaving a comment, I'd love to hear your thoughts! If you can't really read the title that well it says A Father's love... Priceless. This is a layout from my first annual scrap camp. I struggle trying to come up with pages that are more masculine looking, to the disappointment of my boys, they don't want their pictures on flowery layouts all the time! So I used the Loads of Love stamp set.

This was a stamp club project. Yes it is a flowery layout but don't you just love the colors? I used Only Orange with Blush Blossom cardstock for the photo mats. Oh yeah... did I forget to tell you I love ribbon! Just thought I'd mention it again, just in case you forgot. I started to take the pictures of the double page layouts side by side but found it a bit easier to do it this way. I took the words for the title, from a song: These are the moments, I thank God that I'm alive, These are the moments, I'll remember all my life. I found all I've waited for and I could not ask for more. I don't exactly know what the song title is or the name of the singer, but I love the song! If I get stuck for titles for a layout, I'll listen to the radio and come up with something that way. In this case I thought the song was appropriate for a scrapbook page.

A Valentine for my Sister

I have been trying to get my sister to stamp for the longest time. I went over to her house today and since she didn't have to work I convinced her to come over. Normally when she comes over she's looking for cards I have already made that she can use (anyone have a relative like that?). So today I told her she was going to stamp her own card. She wanted a couple of Valentine cards. This is the design I came up with. I had her stamp the hearts even though I had to cut them out and she rolled the jumbo wheel on the red background. Needless to say she was happy with the outcome! If anyone has been staying tuned, I said I would post most of my scrapbook layouts today. Well as you can see, I didn't get around to it today so, tomorrow is another day. I'm going to have at least half of them up tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Yesterday's Stamp Club Layout

Anyone out there a procrastinator? Well, I hate waiting until the last minute to do things but with two jobs, school full time and two kids sometimes I can't help it. So here I was at the last minute trying to prepare a layout for my stamp club that met yesterday. Picture me up in the early morning hours with pajamas on, hair a mess, constantly looking at the clock to make sure I leave my house in time for work in the morning. Sometimes life is like that isn't it? So I thought the title was appropriate because even when we are in a hurry we should take breath and stop and smell the flowers. If you are curious, I know there are demonstrators out there who prepare scrapbook layouts for their clubs and don't put titles on the layout but I always do! Why? Because for me the title makes the page and it also gives me the opportunity to show my customers how to use the letter stamps. So I hope you enjoy what I've come up with so far.

Last Week's Stamp Club

Okay, I'm still learning. I think the last image was to small. I didn't preview before posting it so I'm hoping this one turns out better. This is a card that my stamp club did last week. You can't really see the glitter detail but the letters and the heart are all glittered. I used the Print Pattern and Weathered background stamps as well. I can't believe it! I finally figured out how to make smaller images to add to this blog. It sure took me long enough. Here is a 12x12 layout that my stamp club did last month. The hostess wanted a New Year's layour so this is what I came up with. Let me know what you think. In case you're wondering, almost all of my customers are scrapbookers! So I tend to do more layouts than cards. Occasionally you'll see some cards, but I lean more towards scrapbooking myself. Feel free to use my layouts for inspiration (I'd be honored).
